Tips For Creating A Good Layout For Your College Essay
Tips For Creating A Good Layout For Your College EssayThe layout of a college essay is one of the first steps in the creation of a successful college writing assignment. It's necessary that the arrangement of all the content and words in the essay flow together smoothly. It's possible to create this look and feel on your own if you use the help of a professional college essay organizer.Layout is most important because it helps the student understand the structure of the essay. When things aren't organized in a proper manner, the flow of the essay can be obstructed. It's important to remember that the layout of a college essay consists of the main ideas, introduction, conclusion, body, and end-notes. The introduction contains the statement of interest; the opening statement introduces the topic areas to which the essay will be written. The body contains information that connects the topics of the introduction. In order to create a good layout, a college essay organizer must know how to effectively organize a topic by determining the goals of the assignment. The organizer can also let the student find the subtopics, or key information needed to complete the task at hand. A well-planned essay is the best way to attract a student's attention and get them interested in reading your essay.College essay organizers will give the student all the tools needed to make the essay flow better. A professional organizer can help organize all the different parts of the essay and enable the student to finish it in an efficient manner. Students are often given very specific requirements for a good college essay, so they should be able to be treated with respect. As an important goal of the essay, a college organizer must identify the major areas to which the essay will be written. To do this, the planner must organize the main content and then place these parts in their proper order. You may have noticed that the words in a sentence or paragraph don't always flow together. For exam ple, the subject line of the essay may be in the middle of the article, which makes it difficult to comprehend where the main ideas of the article are located. For this reason, a college organizer must give the student ideas for the layout. They can include headers and footers in the headings of the paragraphs so that the reader can easily navigate to the main content. These things will keep the student reading the essay while avoiding any reading errors.Another thing a college organizer must provide to the student is the proper use of the exclamation point. Many students get stressed out because the writer does not use the exclamation point. Using it only in a quote or an ending point can be confusing, so this is another area where a professional organizer can help the student improve.
A Sample Essay - How to Write a Nursing Sample Essay
A Sample Essay - How to Write a Nursing Sample EssayIt is very important to read a nursing sample essay before you begin writing your own. These sample essays are the result of a project in which a selection of very high school students were given to write about a subject that they feel is very important to them.Examples in this category would include employment, and health care related topics. It is very important to remember that the samples you get from the sources mentioned in the beginning do not represent the best writing you will ever do; they are just meant to serve as a guide for you to write on your own.The first thing you should do when choosing a sample essay is to determine what sort of topic you want to write about. There are numerous topics for nursing: teacher's salaries, school tuition, safety, and more. You can always try to find other examples, as long as the topic you choose doesn't call for much detailed research. What is important is that you make use of the exam ples, but you should take everything into consideration before you begin writing. The examples in these samples have very limited time. After the first example the essay is supposed to go on to the next one. In order to keep the examples as short as possible you can always make use of a couple of sentences for each example. One of the things that makes these samples so great is that you get to use several different examples. Each example has a short paragraph that gives you an outline of the example topic, how it is written, and where it was given. This gives you an idea of what the sample essay will be like. The ideas presented in the example will then be followed by the opening paragraphs of the essay itself. In order to keep the essays as short as possible you must keep the opening paragraphs to only two or three sentences. The examples in these samples are only meant to serve as a guide for you to write your own. After you have had a chance to look at the samples, you will see that most people start their essay with an introduction and then continue to the conclusion.

Arguments in Who Framed Roger Rabbit
The great cartoon craftsmen ââ¬â rude fantasists with a taste for the extreme ââ¬â routinely dismiss the laws of probability, turning tree branches into catapults and a set of dishes into a symphony orchestra (Harris). But a cartoon short, however inventive, can take its toll on our interest.Advertising We will write a custom essay sample on Arguments in Who Framed Roger Rabbit specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More A world which anything can happen is often more irritating than exhilarating, and the nonstop aggression and violence of so many American cartoons wears us out ââ¬â after ten minutes, weââ¬â¢ve already seen too much punishment disguised as wit. Robert Zemeckisââ¬â¢s astounding Who Framed Roger Rabbit, which triumphantly mixes human and animated characters, captures everything we have ever loved and hated about cartoons. It reviews and transcends form. This is a great, sad, amazingly soulful movie that at fi rst seems to be about a rather specialized subject ââ¬â our relation with cartoon characters, those relation with cartoon characters, those relentless jokesters who drive us crazy in order to make us laugh. But there are hints of something darker in the undergrowth (Wilson). The movie is set in Hollywood, back in 1947, when cartoon characters, according to the filmmakers, were just like any other actors. One of them, a contract player with long twisty ears ââ¬â the great Roger Rabbit, a stalwart of the Maroon Studio ââ¬â is having troubles with his wife. Its Bogey meets Bunny when cartoon ââ¬â loathing detective Eddie Valiant is the lone hope of the irascible and irritating Roger Rabbit to prove his innocence when he is accused of murder. Set in the 1940s in a shadowy world reminiscent of the noir classics, Who Framed Roger Rabbit cleverly combines Disney and Warner Brothers cartoon creations in the same scenes (Wilson). Randy, red ââ¬â haired Jessica Rabbit is o ne of the more enduring new noir characters and as it should be, itââ¬â¢s the diabolical dame whoââ¬â¢s belied to the root of all evil. Itââ¬â¢s a race against time for the accused bunny as we wait with bated breath to see if Eddie can solve the case and save Roger before he is executed by Judge Doom and his tenacious band of Weasels. Although the feature film was rated PG, the hard boiled novel itââ¬â¢s based on is definitely R ââ¬â rated and has a completely different ââ¬â and shocking ââ¬â climax. Masses ââ¬â friendly director Zemeckis decided to tone the adult themes of the book down and change the ending, but wisely added dimension to the portrayals and changed the comic strip characters to known and loved cartoons (Wilson). Social tensions are consequences of conscious pursuit of what may be termed as exclusive values by one or more people within a social group. This is usually driven by an aura of competition that arises between two or more groups within a social setting. There are themes arising from this film which bring to the fore the issues that might cause social tension. The racial stereotype in Who Framed Roger rabbit? The ââ¬Å"othersâ⬠bungle work because of shiftlessness and incompetence; they cannot get the simplest thing right, but they work very cheaply (Klein). Physically they are strong, practically indestructible, but they are also unpredictable and emotional.Advertising Looking for essay on art and design? Let's see if we can help you! Get your first paper with 15% OFF Learn More They are more affected by liquor than sober whites. They are colorful and interesting, vibrant and alive, but also threatening and dangerous. The danger and the fascination come together in the sexiness that is part of the stereotypes as well. Considering the Toons of Who Framed Roger Rabbit? The movie presents the Toons as distinctively other. Our first clue to their otherness comes when Roger walks off the set of the opening cartoon a violent, frenetic animation from which all joy seems to have been deliberately expunged and which inspires, from my point of view, only nervous or maniac laughter (Wilson). Roger, hitting himself over the head with a skillet, walks past Bob Hoskinsââ¬â¢s character of Eddie Valiant, who walks away from him and spits scornfully, ââ¬Å"Toons!â⬠In Valiantââ¬â¢s conversation with the studio head, R.K. Maroon, we learn rapidly that Roger is unreliable, physically indestructible, but emotionally creampuff. The Toons are almost indestructible, and the villain, Judge Doom, turns out to be one of them, though he has been passing as a human. At the scene of crime which Roger Rabbit is framed, Eddie Valiant meets Judge Doom (Klein). The blatant stereotypical aspects of this scene are many: Judge Doomââ¬â¢s flunkies are weasels that caricature pimps; Judge Doom executes summary violence on Toons by substituting ââ¬Å"the dipâ⬠for lynching, and the judge says solemnly to Valiant, ââ¬Å"a human has been murdered by a Toon ââ¬â donââ¬â¢t you understand the magnitude of that?â⬠more subtle are the self hatred of the judgeââ¬â¢s actions, along with the racial self hatred they point to, and the way the reference to Chinatown works. ââ¬Å"This is the way we handle things down in Toontown,â⬠says Judge Doom, re calling the closing lines of Chinatown in one of a number of references to it throughout this movie. In conclusion, this movie gives a glimpse of advancement in technology yet it does so in a convincing and humorous manner that leaves the viewer both perplexed and amused. This enhances the well being of a person who might be stressed owing to what a person may be going through at a given point in time. Owing to the ingenuity created in this movie, one cannot help but be caught in moments of laughter as Holt has previously stated that jokes are products of human ingenuity.Advertising We will write a c ustom essay sample on Arguments in Who Framed Roger Rabbit specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More Works Cited Harris, Judy. 5 Presidential Words and Phrases for Presidentsââ¬â¢ Day
5 Presidential Words and Phrases for Presidentsââ¬â¢ Day 5 Presidential Words and Phrases for Presidentsââ¬â¢ Day Some presidents have their faces carved into mountains. Others appear on our money. But some presidents have also left a mark on the English language. So to mark Presidentsââ¬â¢ Day this year, weââ¬â¢re taking a look at some interesting words and phrases popularized by US presidents. 1. Washingtonââ¬â¢s Administration George Washington: Anything but average. George Washington was the first President of the United States. It is thus appropriate that he was also the first person to use ââ¬Å"administrationâ⬠to refer to a presidentââ¬â¢s time in office. Washington is, in fact, cited as the first person to use of a number of words, including common terms such as ââ¬Å"indoorsâ⬠and ââ¬Å"average.â⬠However, this is partly because Washingtonââ¬â¢s diaries have been preserved while other documents from the time have been lost. As such, ââ¬Å"indoorsâ⬠and ââ¬Å"averageâ⬠were probably in common use even before Washington wrote them down. 2. Hardingââ¬â¢s Founding Fathers The term ââ¬Å"Founding Fathersâ⬠is now commonly used to refer to the men involved in founding the United States, including those who drafted and signed the Declaration of Independence. But this phrase only caught on when Warren G. Harding used it in a speech in 1918. To be exact, in a speech to The Sons and Daughters of the Revolution in Washington, DC, Harding said: ââ¬Å"It is good to meet and drink at the fountains of wisdom inherited from the founding fathers of the Republic.â⬠- Address on Washingtonââ¬â¢s Birthday (1918). Harding also used the phrase in a speech when he was officially notified of his nomination for the presidency. And since then it has become a common part of our language. 3. FDRââ¬â¢s ââ¬Å"Iffyâ⬠Language The ever iffy FDR. Even today, ââ¬Å"iffyâ⬠is not an especially statesmanlike word. So it must have sounded very strange when Franklin D. Roosevelt invented it in the 1930s. In particular, he enjoyed using it at press briefings, where he would dismiss hypothetical queries he did not like as ââ¬Å"iffyâ⬠questions (i.e., questions that depend on an ââ¬Å"ifâ⬠scenario rather than current facts). 4. Lincoln Sugarcoats a Message to Congress Abraham Lincoln was not the first person to use the term ââ¬Å"sugarcoatâ⬠to mean ââ¬Å"make something superficially attractive.â⬠It was, in fact, a common colloquialism before he got to it. But this term may have been too common for John Defrees, the man in charge of public printing at the time, who described its use in a message to congress as ââ¬Å"undignified.â⬠Abe was not put off, though, replying to Defrees that the controversial word ââ¬Å"expresses precisely my idea, and I am not going to change it. The time will never come in this country when the people wonââ¬â¢t know exactly what sugar-coated means!â⬠And so far, at least, Lincoln was right. 5. George Bush Jrââ¬â¢s Linguistic Creativity Finally, we end with a president not widely celebrated for his linguistic achievements: George W. Bush. But Bush Jrââ¬â¢s habit of misspeaking gave rise to entirely new words, such as ââ¬Å"misunderestimate,â⬠meaning to underestimate by mistake. And who are we to say that he is wrong? It may only be a matter of time before ââ¬Å"misunderstimateâ⬠enters the dictionary. That said, weââ¬â¢re still confused by what he meant when he said ââ¬Å"I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully.â⬠So perhaps we shouldnââ¬â¢t get carried away with our Bushisms quite yetâ⬠¦ Dont misunderestimate him

Reading Responses to a Poem Research Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words
Reading Responses to a Poem - Research Paper Example The poem is a tribute to everyone who makes an effort to achieve the seemingly unachievable goal and never loses hope no matter how grave the circumstances are. Discussion Paul Simon utilizes complex and a strong pattern to describe his struggle as a young boy in the poem. The time Paul was a young boy; the NYC was flooded with immigrants from Europe during the Huge Immigration Movement. The mass movement of immigrants precipitated mass unemployment and soon the number of unemployed individuals outweighed the number of employed individuals. The conditions of the commercial sector were pathetic and the employed individuals were forced to work in poor conditions with low wages. Throughout his early years, Paul had to endure hard circumstances to make the two ends meet and to achieve his dreams of endless fame by becoming one of the most famous musician of the world. (Eliot). In simple words, The Boxer depicts and addresses the dark aspects of the incredible life of Paul Simon and milli ons of others who have the courage to endure what it takes to be successful. Many elements of the poem evoke and engaged my interest; particularly ââ¬Å"the pocketful of mumblesâ⬠at the beginning of the poem sparks an interest by hinting that the writer is writing about himself. In my opinion, ââ¬Å"the pocket full of mumblesâ⬠pays tribute to millions of individuals like Paul, who being the boxers and fighters, have at some point in their life been so beaten up by hardships of life that they have considered to let go of their dreams. Simon cleverly makes use of sophisticated arrangement throughout the poem to maintain interest of the reader till the last stanza. The Poem describes a dual scenario, one of a little boy searching for a job and secondly, it describes the resistance and strength of a boxer. The second element of the poem which attracts my attention is ââ¬Å"when I left home and family I was no more than a boyâ⬠discloses the fact that the writer indee d is writing about his own life thus, confirms my speculation at the beginning of the poem. The third element which captured my interest is ââ¬Å"I come looking for a job but I get no offersâ⬠informs us about the tremendously importance of trying relentlessly time and time again even if the initial attempts are not rewarded. The poem religiously supports the belief that efforts ultimately do get rewards in the end therefore, one should keep trying because the joy of savoring a hard earned success is known only to him who has the courage to struggle and fight mercilessly like a boxer in the ring. The Young boy is so lonely that he finds peace and tranquility in the whores of New York City. (Bennighof). In the later half, the poem describes the story of a boxer who is struggling against the viciousness of unscrupulous promoters and enduring the meanness of the city streets. The boxer is depicted as a true fighter by his trade whose individuality has been shaped and influenced b y his early years out on the streets as a poor boy. The element which attracts my attention is ââ¬Å"he carries the reminders of every glove that laid him downâ⬠which discloses the fact that the boxer is the young boy from the earlier part of the poem who has now grown into a fighter who has achieved his once seemingly unachievable dream but his heart still carries the wounds inflicted by the hardships he faced earlier. Conclusion The poem begins by describing the scenario of the years after the

The ââ¬Ëmatureââ¬â¢ or adult consumers have the vitamin-enhanced beverages, which are said to boost their health as they help them supply the body with vitamins. Energy drinksââ¬â¢ and readymade teasââ¬â¢ target the teenagers, as they seem to assist improve their concentration. In the alternative beverages industry, Pepsi faces stiff competition from its rival company, Coca Cola, and other players with a smaller market share. These include Monster Beverage and Red Bull, which are companies that developed unique brands and advertised them well to earn a fair share of the market (Esterl, 2013). Alternative Beverage Market in the U.S The economic recession back in 2008 dealt a heavy blow to the alternative beverages market. Though there were many opportunities for key players in the alternative beverages segment, demand for the highly priced commodities decreased due to the poor economy. In between 2008 and 2009, sports drinksââ¬â¢ sales declined by thirteen percent and the sale of vitamin-enhanced drinks declined by twelve percent. In 2009, sixty percent sales of alternative beverages were made from sports drinks, followed by sales of energy drinks at twenty-three percent and finally vitamin-enriched drinks, which accounted for eighteen percent. 2008 and 2009 were slow years for the alternative beverages industry in the United States as they did not experience growth but market forecast experts predicted a six percent growth by 2015 (Harder, 2013). Organizations lobbying for health diets attributed conditions such as obesity and diseases like diabetes to the overconsumption of carbonated soft drinks. This has influenced many Americans to consume healthy food thus shying from carbonated soft drinks and moving to alternative beverages. Thi s trend saw companies such as Pepsi create several brands of alternative beverages and this helped cushion the company from dropping sales of carbonated soft drinks (Datamonitor, 2007). Global Alternative Beverage Market In 2005, the alternative beverage market experienced growth that resulted to a value increase of twenty seven billion dollars. In 2009, the industryââ¬â¢s value increased to reach a global value of forty billion dollars and the experts projected a fifteen billion dollar increase by 2014. Consumer preferences had changed due to emphasis on healthy diets thus reducing the market share of carbonated soft drinks, which held forty-eight percent of the market. Data shows that consumers preferred alternative beverages to carbonated soft drinks, which translated to a two percent decline for the latter in 2009. From 2005 to 2009, the global market value of alternative beverages had grown by nine percent and forecasts targeted a nine percent growth by 2014. The United Stat es held a forty-two percent market-share of the alternative beverages, followed by Asia with a thirty one percent and finally Europe with twenty three percent (Harder, 2013). Five Forces Model Firms in other industries offering substitute products There are many companies offering alternative beverages besides PepsiCo. These are Coca Cola, Monster beverages, Red Bull and other smaller players. With all these competitors and their substitute alternative bever
